Welcome to Lake O’ The Woods Club!
To ensure that your visit with us is as enjoyable as possible, and for everyone’s comfort and safety, please be aware of the following rules:
New in 2026: The Clubhouse area and its amenities and facilities, including a newly remodeled sauna, an indoor hot tub, the lake, tent and RV campgrounds, and pickleball courts, are open to Visitors and to C-members. The roads, East Pier, and all hiking trails are open to A and AA Members. Visitors must be accompanied by an A or AA member of LOWC to explore these areas of the club. A map is available from the gatekeeper. (To learn about membership at Lake O’ The Woods, ask the Gatekeeper to connect you with the Membership Chair.)
All visitors and C Members will have a background check each season the first time they visit or become a C Member.
It is the responsibility of all members and guests to maintain a family atmosphere. In other words, NO sexual activity of any kind is allowed outside anywhere on the grounds. If your behavior is perceived as inappropriate, you may be escorted off the premises.
Parents are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children at all times. If both parents are not present, a Minor Child Consent Form is required. The consent form will need to be filled out by both parents and notarized before you arrive.
Visitors and all members are expected to practice social nudism. We are not a clothing-optional club. Clothing, of any kind, is not allowed while in or on the lake, swimming pool, hot tub, or the sauna. Nudity is also expected in the clubhouse, and adjacent lawns and beaches, with exception for special circumstances such as weather or health reasons.
Please practice good hygiene and good manners by sitting on your own towel or wrap when nude. We recommend you carry one with you when moving about the grounds.
The right to privacy is one of our highest priorities. Therefore, visitors and C Members are not allowed to take pictures anywhere within the club! If you have a camera-enabled device with you while here, we require that you cover all lenses with a sticker so others will know you are not using the camera. Camera-enabled glasses are not allowed anywhere in the club.
Every member’s right to privacy requires that their identity as a member is held in strictest confidence and that you respect the privacy of our homes which are scattered around the grounds.
The club grounds are maintained by our members. Please do not litter; leave the grounds in the condition you found them, or better.
Swimming alone in the lake is not allowed unless you are using an inflatable swim buoy, available from the Gatekeeper. We prefer that you have another person with you or in a boat near you. You must have a life jacket or personal flotation device with you while using any of the water equipment. A fishing license is not needed to fish in our lake; you may fish from a boat or from the dock near the boathouse.
No glass containers are allowed in the pool area, sun decks, clubhouse porch, or on the beach.
Smoking and vaping at the clubhouse are only allowed at the designated table on the lawn.
Pets are only allowed in the campground area and must be kept on a leash at all times and under the control of their owner.
The speed limit is 15 miles per hour on club roads.
Lake O’ the Woods Club will not tolerate intoxication and/or obnoxious behavior. Persons of legal drinking age may engage in moderate use of alcoholic beverages at their discretion.
No illegal substances are allowed anywhere on the property.
Fireworks and discharging a firearm are prohibited on the property.
Campers: please place your trash in the dumpster at the main gates. Be aware that there are raccoons and other animals that will get into garbage if it is left out. Cans and plastic bottles are recycled in bins by the clubhouse.
Overnight occupancy in the clubhouse is prohibited; though If you are camping, waiting out a serious storm in the clubhouse is allowed.
Common sense and good judgment is the rule at all times!
